Is anything special?

Yes it is "ENVIRONMENT DAY"..'the so called'..bcz this is the only day when we humans cares about environment and showing concerns over it..

It is actually disappointing and feeling ashamed what we did to our environment .

It results into various serious concerns or we say the result of human action like 

1. global warming,climate change(can cause

 -- disasters -floods,cyclone say the frequent one in chamoli district of Uttarakhand due to glacier lake outburst .

---change in weather(loss to farmers due to delay in rain).

---threat to survival of species etc)

2. Way of living

   --Like use of excessive fertilizers by farmers can cause acidification of oceans leads to depletion of marine biodiversity say coral reef.

--single use plastics or microbeds works as a toxic when entered into the foodchain.

--waste management issues( throwing garbage openly which invites severe diseases).

3. Deforestation ( forests which acts as a carbon sink ).

4. Pollution(india is having 22/30 world' most polluted cities )

Any many more..

Result?

--It is expected that upto 2025 world' temp rises to 1.5 ° C .

--many diseases occurs due to pollution.

--glaciers are melting..

So what we can do to manage this..

1. As environment does not have any boundaries the efforts should also be by every country at international level.

  : By following the targets of paris covention.

  : Developed countries should come forward and take responsibilities in their shoulders as they are more responsible for huge emission of green house gases . what we called"common but differentiated responsibilities".

: Transfer of technology for clean energy.

2. At national level ..

    : Reduce dependence on fossil fuels by switching it with renewable energy sources(solar,wind are the priority).

  : More effort should be for adoption of electric vehicles by overcoming certain hurdles by building infrastructure for E- vehicles (charging stations )or producing batteries domestically.( FAME policy is the effort in the right direction).

   Or use efficient engines or clean enregy .

:Awareness campaigns 

3. At individual level

 : Reduce single use plastic .

  : Afforestation

  : Using organic fertilizers in farming

  : Use of public vehicles .

  : Waste management at home and in society.

 : 4R- reduce,reuse, recycle,recover

     

     To conserve the environment and the biodiversity , collective effort at national , international,local, individual level is the need of the hour to prevent the devastating effects of human action ,also behavioural change should be there to understand that it is not only the responsibility of govt. It's the responsibility of every single human being.

To conserve what our future generations deserve.

     "LET'S NURTURE THE NATURE SO THAT WE CAN HAVE A BETTER FUTURE"
