COVID-19 -- AN OPPORTUNITY OR A CHALLENGE!!

Covid -19 one in a decade like phenomenon  first came from a bat or from a virology lab?!!

 their is ongoing debate over it but what is imp here is the impact that it brought ..the world -the human life,animals, environment are all suffering just from a single virus.

    It came with a lot of challenges from tracing the infected person in initial days to vaccinating people in longer run but this problems are only at manifest level..

But the true picture is far from this..having so many hidden issues at latent label that covid bought like affecting education, health, economy, individual living standards,informal workers,  gender specific -women crimes increases,girl child study affected ( school drop out percentage increases),rural-urban, region-region divide intensified, or most importantly digital divide, cooperative federalism weakens and competitive fedralism is prevalent now( in terms of vaccination in particular and handling covid in general).

After covid world..is changed and some serious concerns and issues are awaiting like pollution or waste management ( specially medical waste in covid times- used ppe kits ,masks will further spread the infection),climate change(recent IPCC report suggested that till 2025 world temperature rise by 1.5 degree Celsius of pre industrial time),human rights issues,economy shrunk down or badly affected, political chaos and many more.

But as always said.."aapda hi avsar hai" or challenges brings opportunities as well!!

In this unprecedented time also we see such opportunities like.. 

The recycle man of india (binish desai) makes a brick of used masks and ppe kits ..and interesting thing is ..that it is more strong and cheaper than concrete bricks..

There are alot of other innovation like this  also..like technologies used for tracing and treating among others..  

India became self reliant or place its position in global scenerio..creating or investing in basic infrastructure is just what pandemic needs..reskill or upskill labour for technology intensive future jobs. Formalisation of labour .labour reforms, bring the benefits of several social welfare schemes in purview of a common man (pds,pension schemes,or education for children who lost their parents) that should be implemented with priority..so we together can fight this battle and positioned india at global level..

Together we fight and we win !!!

It is actually disappointing and feeling ashamed what we did to our environment .
