LAAPATAA LADIES !!

Recently, I watched "Laapataa Ladies," one of the best movies in recent times.   The film touched on various angles simultaneously, from illustrating the ill effects of the pardah system to portraying two completely different kinds of girls living in their own worlds. It emphasized the importance of a supportive and understanding family, the significance of education in a girl's life, the value of independence, and eyes full of visionary dreams. Delving into the depiction of the pardah system, the movie showcased how it leads to the exchange of brides. It deeply illustrated how the identity of women has been hidden over the years, a phenomenon still prevalent in many parts of India. Additionally, it showed how society has shaped the mentality of young girls over time—to be nice, to engage in household chores, to consider themselves inferior to men, and to prioritize marriage over career or studies.
